Rancho Santa Fe - Market Stats
National and County-wide news sources are slow and do not accurately represent what is happening in this area. My Statistics are updated every few days to keep you up to date.
Rancho Santa Fe was started in 1906 when the Santa Fe Railroad decided to plant thousands of eucalyptus trees. These trees are fast growing and were to supply the Santa Fe Railroad with the next generation of railroad ties. The railroad abandoned those plans at a later date due to the hardness of the wood and the area was eventually converted to ranches and citrus groves. Unusual to the San Diego area, its characteristics of dense forests of trees and rolling hills made it the perfect place for the wealthy to build large estates, ranches and private enclaves. Throughout the years, “The Ranch” has become the ideal place for those seeking a private, rural type lifestyle in the close proximity to all North San Diego Coastal has to offer. In recent years, large master planned communities such as Rancho Pacifica, Cielo, The Bridges, Crosby, Fairbanks Ranch, Del Mar Country Club and many others have been created to combine the exclusivity of the Ranch with the benefits of community living.
